DALE JENKINS-UNDESIRABLE ELEMENTS, LP, 1984, USA

Lost loner bedroom art pop is the order of the day here, though it's a day with variable climatic conditions. Shunting aside a few well meaning but unlovely sentimental and political bits, there are several tracks here worth gnawing on for fans of the style, Messr. Jenkins songsmithing in these instances coming off like an affable hybrid of Crisrail and Batang Frisco.

Usually when it appears there's a track missing, there really isn't, but in this particular case, it looks like one really is missing.

What a fun listen! Pretty ridiculous stuff, lyrically. I think he meant the "Second Amendment," not "Article Two." That song had NOTHING to do with the electoral college.

Cool record. Fun loner pop with heavy adolescent emotion fueled complaints/lyrics. Dale Jenkins passed away about 25 years ago, FYI.

went to visit his Mom in Takoma Park MD about 6 months after he passed.., a loving caring single Mom she gave me this album plus two more he recorded as we were in a band together doing CCR covers and such. I remember well that he was in another band also called "The Users".
A very nice guy and good friend, sadly missed.

Dale was one of my best friends...we were in The Users and then All White Jury . We co-wrote a couple of the songs on his albums . Article Two was one of them ..Breath in Deep was another and Time Will Numb . We made a 7" e.p. as All White Jury titled Corporate Slaughterhouse . We also made a ton of cool shit together that almost no-one has heard and I have a wealth of cool electronic compositions he did. Nice to see the world catching up to his genius.
